When we walk through our day with curiosity and wonder, it is easy to be grateful for every experience that shows up.  For every moment, conceals a remarkable gift, hidden in plain sight.  If all is well, it is easy to see the gift.  But when things go amiss, there is an opportunity to find a valuable treasure as well.  Accepting all that is creates inner peace, which is a way to release our resistance to life.

What if everything was a blessing?  Looking for a blessing in everything that happens allows us to feel more content when life throws a wet blanket on our picnic.  Plus, when we stay open to receiving, we are more likely to see all the magic going on all around us!

If we genuinely want to be free of judgment, then whatever is happening isn’t bad or even good; it just is.  And when we learn to be okay with whatever is, we are at peace.  When we respond to life with ease and acceptance, we soon see that nothing can negatively affect us if we do not allow it.   And walks in a sudden rainstorm can be spontaneously fun and enjoyable instead of dreaded and miserable.  We have the power to choose, and that feels, well, very empowering!

Thanksgiving is the time when we gather with loved ones, eat way too much, and talk about all the things for which we are most grateful.  Well, hopefully, anyway.  (And if it’s 2020, you might be having yourself a merry little Zoom gathering – but that’s ok, it’s all good!) Every day can be Thanksgiving by “giving thanks” and dwelling in that space of love and gratitude for all that is every day.

May your holidays be full of love, peace, and GRATITUDE. Happy Thanksgiving!
