I was honored to have eight incredible women accompany me on the trek of a lifetime in the Annapurna region. Everyone did fantastic and an unforgettable adventure was had by all.

We began our journey by visiting several sacred sites in the colorful capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. We were irresistibly drawn into the local traditions as my dear friend and local guide explained the intricacies of these ancient rituals and customs. Witnessing the everyday goings-on of other cultures helps us see the common thread of our humanness inherently uniting us all. Kathmandu is rich with history, vibrant colors, and routine festivities.

The next day, we flew to Pokhara to begin our trek. Walking every day, the breathtaking vision of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhare (Fishtail) mountains drew closer and closer. Each morning, we arose at first light to observe the clearest and best views of the mountains enshrouded with the soft, pastel hints of the sun rising. These moments were profound and sacred times when we felt indisputably connected to the magic of these majestic peaks. We crossed grand glacial rivers over suspension bridges, walked through sweet little remote villages, and experienced the simple yet extraordinary life in the Himalayan mountains.

By the time our trek concluded, we all felt a kindred bond with these enchanted lands, the kind-hearted Nepali people we met along the way, and with each other. I am eternally grateful to these courageous, strong women who were inspired to join me on this empowering journey. Thank you for being willing to bravely step out of your comfort zone and accomplish something so magnificent. Well done, ladies!
