We are told all through life that, “The sky is the limit!” but how do we honestly live an unapologetically fearless life?
Finding our inner strength means we not only dare to dream big but also are willing to take inspired action. We don’t have to do this all at once by signing up for solo skydiving lessons. We can start by simply opening our minds and identify the voice of fear with us.
The answer is quite simple. Experiment. Learn something new. Challenge yourself. Step out of that comfort zone because you are capable of so much more than you think. In fact, you are capable of anything you could ever imagine. I believe personal power is where the limits we put on ourselves, through our beliefs, overlaps with our true potential.
So how exactly do we give our power away? We fight, we resist. We battle ourselves by doing the same thing over and over again, while never changing the outcome. We stay in the resistance with ourselves to the death…. beating ourselves up incessantly and sometimes not even realizing we’re doing this!?! How crazy is that?
Until… we decide not to. By making the intentional decision to change something, we are consciously stepping into our power. Otherwise, we will always feel powerless.
It all starts with having loving-kindness and compassion for ourselves.
Embrace all that you are, even the parts you don’t like. The path to loving the Self begins by recognizing we are whole already, and in the perfect place, at the perfect time, having the perfect experiences, right now! Acknowledge the resistance to whatever it is that’s going on and send some love to that area of your life.
I believe there are simple, small changes we can make that have a massive impact on our lives. My favorite? You guessed it… Walking! Walking physically stimulates our body’s natural reflexes to let go and relax, be efficient, take in new stimuli through our senses, and helps process our mental and emotional muck in the healthiest way possible. Walking as a meditation (What I call, Walking as a Sacred Practice) is taking it to the next level. There are easy ways to develop our magical superpowers. In my opinion, this is one of the easiest!
The next time you feel defeated or powerless in some way, take back your power through inspired action. Be powerful! Make your own adventure. Take an action, no matter how small, toward your wildest dreams. It can be lifechanging if we choose to see the magic all around us!
