Happy Imbolc!

Imbolc represents the time between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.  In Celtic traditions, the Goddess Brigit which means “exalted or elevated one” is celebrated at this time for the healing arts, agriculture, and fertility, among other things.

As it is not quite Spring, we are still in the time of darkness with the eternal hope of the returning Light.  We innately feel the rebirth coming, and now is the time to check in with ourselves to see what we are choosing to leave in the dark behind us and what are we bringing into the Light.

I invite you to create your own Imbolc ceremony to focus on your Self-Care and what areas of our lives could use some loving attention.  One of my favorite Imbolc rituals is to go outside in nature and put your ear to the ground, patiently listening for the sounds of the seeds (we have planted) to begin arousing from slumber.  I always hear them!

This meditation brings us back to our connection with all that is, grounding us on the earth, right here, and right now.  It is important to remember the intentions we set during the Solstice and see what needs to be prepared as we move closer to the time of action, fully open to receive and reveling in the Light.  Godspeed.
