The watchful eye of this Osprey follows us as we make our way along the shore on the Neusiok Trail…
The Neusiok Trail is a 21 mile section of the Mountains to Sea trail that runs between Havelock and Morehead City, NC. Here is a link to the Carteret County Wildlife Club for some very interesting history of this local treasure.
The Carteret County Wildlife Club works tirelessly maintaining this trail and others in the area. We are so fortunate to have this dedicated group of hikers in our area! Much gratitude!
A beautiful day along the northern section of the Neusiok Trail. This is not far south from the Pinecliff Recreation area.
Copperhead Landing Shelter is one of three shelters along the Neusiok. These shelters are a wonderful find (particularly in sketchy weather!) to any long distance hiker!
