When I am “Walking as a Sacred Practice,” it is my custom to ask for guidance and clarity. I always receive the healing I request, but I know I am there to give the gift of my presence as well. I enter the path as an empty vessel, understanding wholly that the divine resides in my equal contribution. My offering is my presence, my attention, and my infinite gratitude.
But I must be quiet. And undistracted …to receive all that I ask for. Yet this state of being is impossible to achieve without setting an intention… We must ask for help.
Distractions often dominate our existence. When we begin to Awaken, our distractions become more prominently noticed. I must continuously remind myself that all change, no matter how hard to accept, reveals a divine blessing, eventually. It may take some time, but it is there, patiently waiting for us to witness our own path of redemption.
We as humans are continuously growing and exponentially expanding whether we realize it or not. How deep and how fast is dependent only on the level of resistance we have. Our resistance is what we adeptly conceal with our ever-growing list of distractions. Some of us continually trade one for another, for they show up differently for everyone and can be quite covert. We can learn to release resistance with our growing Awareness. Self-transformation can simply be a series of seemingly small changes in our perspective that accumulate to create new healthy habits.
My greatest inspiration comes to me through movement with intention. For me, taking a walk in nature allows the joy and magic of life to flow through my entire being as a cleansing wave of release. The next time you take even a short walk, I invite you to try “Walking as a Sacred Practice.” You will never look at this basic activity the same again.
Don’t know what that means exactly? I have written a guide to help you get started on this sacred path: A Free Guide to Self-Empowerment Through Walking as a Sacred Practice: The beginner’s guide to transforming your life by simply taking a walk. https://bit.ly/3sQMW1A
