Happy Imbolc 2021!

Imbolc, February 2nd, represents the time midway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox.  Other names for Imbolc include Candlemas and St. Brigit’s Day, a celebration of the Celtic Goddess.  It has been said that the fire she carried was for healing and purification.

As we are still in the deep of Winter… and not quite within the grasp of Spring… the time of darkness lingers alongside our eternal hope of the returning Light.  We innately feel our rebirth coming, and now is the ideal time to peer within and see what we are choosing to leave in the dark behind us and what we are bringing into the Light.

I invite you to create your own Imbolc ritual celebration.  It doesn’t need to be complicated, just a simple meditation to check in with your heart.  It is a perfect time to focus on Self-Care and what areas of our lives could use some loving attention.  Imbolc is a time to be outside, waiting for the return of Light.  So, if possible, go outdoors for your ritual meditation.  If you can safely have a campfire outside or in a fireplace, even better.

Close your eyes and take three deep breaths- long inhales and exhales- to clear the mind and await instructions from the Universe, Divine Love, Source, and so on. Ask for an indication for what is the next right step on our journey of learning to love the SELF. Envelop yourself in gratitude and surrender for the perfect answer to show up, however it does.  Trust the guidance you receive and be sure to journal about not only the experience but, more importantly, how you feel.

This meditation brings us back to our connection with all that is, grounding us right here on the earth, right here, and right now.  Let us remember the intentions we set during the Winter Solstice and see what needs working on as we move closer to the time of inspired action, fully open to receive and to revel in the Light.  Godspeed.

Love, Collin
