Please join me, Sunday, April 4, at 10am for a special hike on the Benton MacKaye Trail…
Since social distancing is essential, it’s the perfect time to hike a section of the BMT as a “moving meditation.”
The hike leads us from Dyer Gap on FS 64 south on the BMT to the headwaters of the Jacks River. The distance is 4.8 miles round-trip and is rated moderately strenuous because of the elevation gain to Flat top mountain. Elevation gain is approximately 900′.
We will be spaced further apart and walking independently at times. At our destination, we will have plenty of time for snacks and a rest.
We will enjoy a short “Forest Bathing” meditation before returning to the trailhead.
There is no charge for the hike but ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Limit 5 hikers only.
