How often do you think about how you brush your teeth? I don’t mean what kind of toothpaste you use or whether or not you use a toothbrush made of recycled yogurt containers. I mean the energy you put into this routine, mundane task.

Anything can be a Sacred Practice, even brushing your teeth.

I love my sonic toothbrush and have used one for years. It measures two minutes, and for the duration of this vibration happening in my mouth, I send love and healing to my teeth and gums. Sometimes I hum along with the sound and go into a teeth-brushing trance. As you might imagine, I have super healthy teeth (I am a long-time devoted flosser, too!). I just wish I had discovered this sacred practice earlier in my life when I often ate copious amounts of sugar and neglected most opportunities for self-care.

I am not advocating you run out and buy an electric toothbrush. I share with you now musings that have come to me naturally on my path of health and wellbeing. My self-care rituals take on a life of their own, and my whole body appreciates the love and attention!

The path of ease and grace only requests that we incorporate painless, self-love practices here and there as we see the opportunity and inspiration arise. Before you know it, whatever it is, becomes a practice that comes instinctively, and life will never be the same.

Bringing awareness into our bodies and our ever-evolving relationship with Self is the gateway to lifelong transformational growth.

Life can be easy and full of magic! We must only believe it to be so.

Namaste
