This is a short video contrasting the differences in outdoor experiences when we plan ahead and prepare (LNT principle one) vs. when we do not.  Enjoy!

Leave No Trace (LNT) Center for Outdoor Ethics is an educational nonprofit organization devoted to responsible recreation and active stewardship of all our outdoor spaces.   The Seven LNT Principles are designed to promote low-impact outdoor skills and ethics to protect our public outdoor places’ ecological and experiential health.

LNT consists of seven core principles to provide education and awareness of the adverse effects of recreational impact. The more knowledge we have, the better we are at being supportive Keepers of the Land. It is all our responsibility!

The seven principles of LEAVE NO TRACE are:

  • Plan ahead and prepare.
  • Travel and camp on durable surfaces.
  • Dispose of waste properly.
  • Leave what you find.
  • Minimize campfire impacts.
  • Respect wildlife.
  • Be considerate of other visitors.
